Yes Please by Amy Poehler
In this weeks section a friend of Amy will be writing this portion of the book and his name is Seth Meyers. The reason is to give Amy a break from writing the book, also he owes Amy a thousand of favors, and that other people does too, but he personally say that Amy does not holt it over you because she's that kind of a person. Seth gives a background on where he met Amy, which he met her in Chicago at a theater called Improv Olympic in the mid-nineties. Amy and other entertainers were playing an improv game called "The Dream," Amy asked for a volunteer and the volunteer would tell her about their day. Seth raised his hand and was picked. One day, Seth auditioned for SNL (Saturday Night Live) in 2001and was wired. Seth talks about when Amy was still pregnant and handle a skit, despite being pregnant and Amy rapped with Governor Palinm while she was rapping a baby was slashing in side her belly, according to Seth Meyers. While the cameras were still setting up in SNL, cast member were rehearsing and they had a lot of fun practicing their lines. One of the writer named Alex Baze described Amy's laugh "as the sound one hears when running over a raven's foot with a shopping cart." And it is Seth's favorite sound on earth. Amy calls Seth "coco," while seth calls Amy "Moses." They call each other this because of a "Weekend Update" joke where a camel is six foot-tall and a pony, which the sidekick.
In my opinion, it was thoughtful to help Amy out, especially that she has two kids to take care of, as well as being the host of SNL, which is exhausting. If I forgot to mention it is hard to write a book, according to Amy. Furthermore, we get to know how Amy is as person, not only knowing her hardships, but what makes her a unique person. Seth acknowledges Amy because of her high respects and them being friends, also of how was working even though she was pregnant. Furthermore, Seth live changed when he met Amy because he wanted to work where Amy was working at. The new vocabularies that I learned this week are rendered, mimicry, artifice, cackle, endeavor, and beleaguered. "Josh Bolin was hosting the show that week, but this would soon be rendered a foot not when Sarah Palin agreed to do." Page 42. The rendered is to provide, or supply. "This brought much good fortune to SNL in the form of Tina Fey's mimicry." Page 42 to 43. Mimicry means the action to which one copies, or imitates something. "It is a performance without artifice." Page 44. Artifice means being clever, or shrewd into tricking people. "Though to be fair, it was less a laugh and more of a cackle." Page 44. Cackle means to give a harsh loud cry. "It's a ridiculous endeavor and has a low probability of success." Page 44. Endeavor means trying card to achieve something. "and so we know what delivering a baby is the best way to cheer an attractive but beleaguered doctor." Page 51. Beleaguered means to lay siege to.
