Yes Please by Amy Poehler

Amy talks about having a baby and how much kids love her, but now she has her own two kids, which she says that she is a wonderful mother. She mentions how she would act in SNL as if she is pregnant and she uses a half shape of a watermelon, which contains some flesh colored like Velcro. When she is actually pregnant not many people would noticed in SNL and she goes in depth about ladies private parts like how Dr.G delivered Sophia Loren’s children. When Amy was about to deliver her baby’s name Archie, Dr.G died in his sleep where he had a heart-attack. Also, she talks about how you can get away from things and that it is the most dangerous time for women. Moreover, women’s hormones are telling her that she is strong and sexy. During SNL Amy rapped, Cold Play hosted for the first in her show, and she did a parody of Mad Men. When Amy’s water broke because she was watching Law and Order, and there was a loud gunshot sound, which woke her up and her water broke.

Furthermore, it is the truth about her life and it’s not something that is happy. In my opinion, she wants us see or imagine her struggle, so people can relate and not to do the same thing. Velcro is a type of material which is made into clothing; a fastener, two stripes of thin plastic, flexible, and covered with tiny loops. “My ob-gyn was wonderfully old Italian man I will call Dr.G.” Page 31. Ob-gyn means a person who delivers the baby. “It is no longer unusual for people who chose surrogacy.” Page 31. Surrogacy means action of giving birth as a surrogate (a substitute, who take a specific role). “He reassured me I didn’t need an amniocentesis by reminding me that Italian don’t worry about that sort of thing.” Page 32. Amniocentesis means it is a sample of using amniotic substance needle, which is inserted into the uterus, to screen the progress of the fetus. “I had been working the whole time and feeling pretty. Exhausted, yes. But invigorated. Page 36. Invigorated is a past tense of invigorate and means giving strength, or energy to.
